It is a lot of labor & a lot of metal when you polish fuel tanks, wheels, diamond plate & trim. If you put a dollar value on your labor use Metal Wax, this product respects your labor.

The photo below shows the tank after one coat of the metal wax has been applied & wiped off. this whole tank was polished by hand using the cleaner & wax. the more coats of wax you apply the deeper the shine becomes. the wax wipes right off. we mean wipe not rub!

It is polished,but blurry in appearance.Next photo shows the tank with cleaner applied.When using the cleaner,make sure it is even,with no runs or streaks. we used a lot of cleaner because we wanted to smooth out the buff job for more reflection and more time on the shine. For very smooth metal use just a light cleaning process. Ad 30% water to the standard cleaner.16oz size. Lightly wipe metal surface with applicator & cleaner.Start from the bottom and work up for best results cleaning and polishing sections at a time until job is complete
Example: Clean the end of the tank then polish the end cap while cleaner is still fresh. Move to the side. Clean and polish from the weld seam to the end of the strap. Then move to the center section. Add as many coats of polish as you want in this section the more glass shine here the more it brings the whole shined tank together. Only clean the metal one time.
you can see the results below. We used three coats of polish in the center section & one coat everywhere else. It all looks like three.

.At this point you will now apply the metalwax to the entire surface that's been cleaned.always clean & polish in sections at a time then buff off with buff towel,apply second coat buff off again.you can add even more coats of wax for a deeper shine

Here is the finished tank with 3 coats of metalwax on the center and two coats everywhere else. The red you see is a color reflection from another object in front. The shine is very even throughout the tank

metalwax is extremely clear.Notice how much clearer this tank is compared to the first photo in this series.Start to finish on this tank was about 55 minutes
